PAAE Conferernce
Well it's been an interesting couple of days. I am at the Pennsylvania Association of Agriculture Educators summer conference. This year it is in Selinsgrove, PA. We have had some really good workshops, tours, agriculture updates from Department of Education and fellowship with our Agriculture Educator Family. Was a long drive 4 and 1/2 hours drive time, along with all the stops I make along the way to stay awake. Really enjoy getting to spent time with the group but really miss being at home with the wife and kids.

They range from a landscape project, raised bed gardening experiment, RO machine assembly, maple tubeing to put up, greenhouse seeding and propagation to be done. Woooooh just getting excited thinking of all the student learning that will be taking place. We are also very excited that we have an energetic young lady who will be student teaching with us here in the Ag Program. Looking forward to seeing all my FFA members tomorrow.

State FFA Convention
I just love State Convention. It's a huge celebration of the achievements of our students, and the kick off for our new year. It was great to get to see the excitement in the eyes of the students as they listened to some great motivational speakers. It was also bitter sweet for my senior who came to realize his last days as an Ag Ed High school student has now come. The highlight was our very on FFA Member who was a 2012-13 State Officer became PA's National Officer Candidate a first for our Albion FFA Chapter. We are proud of all our students accomplishments and especially proud to say Shannon Copeland our states national officer candidate came from our small town.

The Honey Owl visits Vermont
Up in Vermont with wife's family. Really enjoying the scenery, all the cool intrinsic shops and loving all the Agriculture I see. We are in the town of Jerico just outside of Burlington. We toured Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream plant today, it was awesome. I loved the strawberry cheesecake ice cream. We climbed Mt. Mansfield and worked our way through the rocks at Smugglers cave. The kids had an great time.

Freshman Orientation
Thanks to all the students that came out to the Freshman orientation as an incoming student and to those officers who came out to help with the event. It was good to see so many excited faces anticipating a great 2013-14 school. We are excited about the 2017 class and have many things inline to make your high school days memorable, informative, educational and fun. We hope to set you up to be successful in your days at Northwestern and your life after high school, whether that is in college or in the workforce or in the military or staying at home and taking care of you kids. Good Luck and looking forward to working with each one of you this year.

Another summer day
Well today I worked on the filing cabinets in the shop. I sorted through 5 of them and saved what was needed to be saved. I have collected a lot of stuff over the last few years. I also worked on some of my curriculum files. I re found some cool stuff I had forgotten about. Still tons to do in preparation for the next school year. Love my job and what I am able to do with the kids. Going through the old student papers I reminisced thinking about some of the kids I have taught and wondering where they are now.
